Enjoy the Japanese summer to the fullest at Nijo-jo Castle x NAKED's art festivities!

Creative production company NAKED, INC. is delivering a summer experience filled with new and traditional activities of a Japanese summer festival! Nijo-jo Castle will be transformed at night with projection mapping fireworks, Milky Way-inspired illuminations, echoing sounds of wind chimes, and interactive artworks at the festival stalls offering popular treats such as shaved ice. Visitors can also witness the first ever yagura (festival tower) on the castle's grounds, and enjoy a never-seen-before production of art, games, food, and dancing in this modern take of a traditional Japanese summer experience!

Additionally, ticket holders will be granted priority entry into the event without having to wait in the standard admissions queue.

*The inscription lanterns will be installed in the Seiryu-en Garden and Ninomaru Garden areas.

    Tickets are not dated so you can use them anytime during the event period. If you have a ticket for Monday to Thursday and you visit on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or a public holiday, you need to pay the difference at the counter. If you have a ticket for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or a public holiday and you visit on a weekday from Monday to Thursday, please note that we cannot refund the difference.
  • Can I cancel or refund the ticket I purchased?

Notable works include the direction of the G7 Hiroshima Summit social dinner, NAKED Sakura Night Garden at Shinjuku Gyoen, NAKED FLOWERS at World Heritage Site Nijo-jo Castle, collaboration with Singapore's renowned Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and more.

This production is part of an initiative that aims to mitigate overtourism in Kyoto by incorporating historical and cultural assets in new forms of nighttime experiences. Through this event, we hope to provide a sustainable form of tourism that takes cognizance of the livelihood of local residents.
